No. We didn't burn the house down...

Thanksgiving. Yes, we fried a turkey. No, we didn't burn the house down. And when I say "we" fried a turkey I meant Nick and Rob brined and fried the turkey while Andrea and I made the sides, tended to the children, and looked pretty ;-) We all had a pretty good time watching a 26lb bird get zapped in about 45min...it was delicious! Tybee Island 2009

We had so much fun this year at Tybee Island. Thanks so much to Jan and Bill!!! And also thanks Mandie for setting it all up. The color-coded itinerary could not have been cuter ;-) We (the adults) had a blast and the kids had a ton of fun too. I am nervous to see who multiplies by next year!!

Nick and I went home for the Thanksgiving holidays. While it was a mad dash to get from one place to the next we had a great time visiting everyone and wished we could have seen more people. We'll be back for Christmas and hope we can visit everyone else then! Here are *just a few* pictures from the trip.

Topsail Beach Fun

For my birthday this year I wanted to have a nice chill time at the beach with close friends. We went to Topsail Beach and booked this fabulous house ON the beach...right at the water. It was gorgeous and fun - Everything a 30th birthday should be ;-) We played games, hung out on the beach, watched movies and football, and had great conversation...when the girls were ASLEEP! They put together a really fun evening for my birthday with cake, candles and balloons...it was wonderful...more than I could have asked for.

Fun Evenings

Amy and I like to take the girls to the pool for dinner sometimes so they can let off some steam before bedtime. I can also typically count on Siena having an awesome night of sleep after ;-)

It was a beautiful evening and a fun time (as always).

Cleo Comes to Visit

Our friends Mike and Nancy came to visit with their little girl Cleo this past wkd. Nancy and I were pregnant at the same time with the girls being born just about 3wks apart. The only bad thing about this story is that Mike and Nancy live ALL THE WAY in CA. So Cleo and Siena had never met until this wkd. We only had them at our place for a night but we all had lots of fun, especially Cleo and Siena. Here are a few pics of them having a GREAT time together ;-)

Fun at the Museum

Went with a few friends to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. We had an absolute blast!

Fun at Jordan Lake

Our friends decided to celebrate their daughters half-birthday in style at Jordan Lake equipt with hotdogs, chips, brats, fruit, and bumblebee cupcakes for all the kids to devour. It was a blast for all involved. Siena was so pooped by the end she slept for the 40 minutes it took to get home and then for another 2 and a half hours when got back!! Swim Time!

Since we have had unseasonably hot 100 degree weather lately we have been frequenting the pool with Just Barely Amy and her 2 adorable little girls. Siena has learned lots of things like blowing bubbles in the water, kicking her legs, and that Daddy dunks her (No worries- she still loves the pool!). We definitely have been having a blast at the pool. We go at least 2-3 times per week! We are excited about the rest of the summer and our "swim time" with friends.

Visiting Friends

It seems we are always going somewhere to visit old friends! We went to VA this past wkd to visit Randy and Sarah - Randy was a classmate of Nick's at West Point and they all (Randy, Sarah, and Nick) were stationed in Germany together. We had a great time visiting them and their adorable, new little girl, Nila. Here are the pics from the wkd....
