Beautiful Mornings

When Nick and I went to the beach for a little R 'n R we woke up on our last morning there to this. It was absolutely gorgeous. As much as I tried to 'capture' the feelings I had that morning, I couldn't. It was completely beyond me and my little camera.

Tybee Island 2009

We had so much fun this year at Tybee Island. Thanks so much to Jan and Bill!!! And also thanks Mandie for setting it all up. The color-coded itinerary could not have been cuter ;-) We (the adults) had a blast and the kids had a ton of fun too. I am nervous to see who multiplies by next year!!

Gobble, gobble

Nick and I went home for the Thanksgiving holidays. While it was a mad dash to get from one place to the next we had a great time visiting everyone and wished we could have seen more people. We'll be back for Christmas and hope we can visit everyone else then! Here are *just a few* pictures from the trip.

Nashville or bust!!

We went to Nashville (well, technically, Brentwood), TN to "run" the Country Music 1/2 Marathon. This is a tradition 3 years running that we- The Nimitz/Huffman/ Palmisciano families...along with lots of others - have held up. In the first 2 years the majority of us have run...this year, however, we decided it would be way more fun to hang out and drink instead of run (no drinking for me though...only 25 more wks to go...hummmm). So instead of sweating, starving, drinking gatorade and eating goo- we ate ribs, potato salad, drank magaritas from the MARGAR-ATOR while playing drunken croquet (By the way, Nick and I won the First Annual Huffman Croquet Tournament, but we had a distinct advantage...I couldn't drink!). It was awesome to see our friends and relax for a few days and it is something I am very much looking forward to again next year...when I will be drinking ;-).

Vegas or Bust!

Nick has been talking about taking me to Vegas for a while. Finally, we booked some tickets, some shows, and dinners. We were SO excited to go. First trip with no baby, first trip to Vegas (for me anyway)...it was going to be so FUN!!

3 days before we leave (Tues) Siena starts puking.
2 days before we leave (Wed) Nick starts puking.
1 day before we leave (Thur) Kelly starts puking.
4 hrs before we leave (Fri) my brother, Jan, starts puking (he helped Nick with Siena when I went to my night shift on Wed)

We ALL got the flu and this trip is NOT looking good. I started puking on my Wed night shift at work (I am sure they were super excited about that!) and was supposed to be picking up my mom at the airport that day. Luckily, I have wonderful friends who jumped in and let me sleep.

Friday morning comes and Nick and I are on a plane to VEGAS...still not 100% but DARN IT, we are GOING. Here are some pictures from our trip (double click on them to see them larger).



We really had a blast despite not drinking for the first COUPLE of nights and eating some bland foods ;-)We are so glad we went and we really hope to visit again some day when we are both healthy!
